Man have I been severely LACKING on content lately. Not a fan at all. But let me tell you, my life has taken some unexpected twists and turns and I would've never guessed that I'd be so busy and all over the place. (Currently writing this at the LAX airport waiting for my flight home).
Where do I even start? Well, I guess let's begin with some of the crazy ways I've been seeing God work in my life. I've met some incredible people these past few months - some of my newest best friends, some blessings in disguise, and some people that were placed in my life at the right time for a certain reason - whether I know that reason yet or not. Working at Walt Disney World, you encounter a lot of people from all over the world on the daily. I don't think there's been one day that's passed so far since I've been working there that I haven't met at least one person that brought to my attention that they know of my school (Liberty University), know someone that goes there, or went there themselves. These encounters tend to be like a daily encouragement for me. Even when I am traveling to new places, including across the country - this STILL happens to me. About an hour ago as I was in line for security at the airport in CALIFORNIA, the guy standing in front of me noticed I was wearing a Liberty t-shirt and asked if my shirt saying "Liberty" meant Liberty University in Virginia. Turns out that he himself graduated from Liberty a few years ago and was on my school's football team. WILD, right?! Another pretty big thing that has happened recently is something that I did not see coming, at all. God revealed himself in a way that I had been praying about for a while now, and answered a prayer of mine. Sometimes God shows you what you need in a way that isn't what you had wanted, but it's what's necessary. Who knew that something that would hurt me in the moment was what was going to be best for my future in the long run? Luckily, I was able to figure it out instantly. It was astonishing that in that moment, it was like a shield was lifted from my eyes, and I could now see so clearly. I also have been needed as a friend lately. And when I say that, I mean being there for people in some serious needs. From breakups and heartbreaks, to family emergencies, to sickness, to personal problems, I've had friends suffering some pretty serious circumstances lately. And I've learned that the most important things are to love consistently, and to pray. It sounds way too simple and cliche, but the power of prayer is amazing friends!!!! Literally unreal. I attended Mosaic Church in Hollywood on Sunday and I fell in love. I left feeling so moved from the incredible worship (hearing one of my favorite songs live!!!!) and an awesome message. It was waaaay too good, and something that I very much needed in that moment. Every time that I have visited California this year, I've left learning something new that's impacted my life in a pretty tremendous way. I had my big reveal for this trip on Sunday. I want to end the post with this. Yesterday, I bought a necklace with the letter "G" as the pendant. I got it as a reminder to always stand true to my name, Gabrielle, as well as God's. I want to continue to be an example showing HIM in my everyday life, and the goodness and love He has for all of us. Xoxo, Gabrielle
